the irony in avoiding the full disclosure of affections, in fear of their departure. i suppose it takes the most delusional to believe someone is truly special, when in reality no one truly is. how bittersweet to leave, feigning optimism. yet within us echoes impending melancholy. truly foolish. – olivia
